PLYMOUTH, Minn. — Thrifty White Pharmacy announced additional patient clinical services to support hospitals, physicians, and alternate care facilities with dispensing and coordinating the administration of Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody treatment, REGEN-COV (casirivimab and imdevimab).

“As we continue to see hospital and clinic capacity stretched thin, Thrifty White has stepped up to leverage our clinically trained pharmacists to provide this therapy,” said Jeremy Faulks, director of Specialty Pharmacy. “It’s a great option for at-risk patients, especially in rural Minnesota where access to care is constrained.”

Thrifty White is now currently administering the Regeneron antibody treatment across 23 locations in Minnesota.

Data from the FDA demonstrates Regeneron’s treatment has reduced viral levels and improved symptoms in non-hospitalized COVID patients. As COVID-19 infections continue to rise, hospitals and clinics are turning to pharmacies to help treat infected and exposed patients who are eligible to receive the Regeneron treatment.

REGEN-COV should be received as soon as possible, within 10 days of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis for best results. It is also authorized for post-exposure prophylaxis of COVID-19 individuals who are not fully vaccinated or who are not expected to mount an adequate immune response to complete vaccination. There is no cost to patients, as this is fully covered by insurance, Medicare or the Government.
