Uniprix debuts Daniele Henkel TO GO concept in stores

MONTREAL — Uniprix Group has launched an express beauty solution, Daniele Henkel TO GO, in 20 of its drug stores in Quebec.

The Canadian drug chain said Friday that the partnership with therapeutic skin care specialist Daniele Henkel Inc. "brings the express, anti-aging and well-being experience to a wider audience." The concept is slated to roll out to more Uniprix stores in the coming months.

Inside the stores, a freestanding Daniele Henkel TO GO space has a comfortable lounge chair and invites men and women to relax and enjoy 10- to 30- minute sessions for the face, décolleté or hands, contouring and smoothing the skin and leaving skin radiant and rejuvenated, according to Uniprix.

Daniele Henkel TO GO features the LPG Endermolift anti-aging technology. Uniprix beauty consultants certified and trained at the Daniele Henkel Academy evaluate customers’ skin and prescribe and provide targeted, express anti-aging treatments.

"We’re excited to offer this exclusive anti-aging treatment to our female and male clientele throughout Quebec," Uniprix president and chief executive officer Philippe Duval said in a statement. "Thanks to the Daniele Henkel TO GO concept, the Uniprix banner creates a refreshing and exciting transformation to a retail sector that is otherwise quite conservative. Our beauty consultants are also enjoying a new level of enthusiasm and skillset for servicing our clientele."

Five LPG skin care products are available for purchase to maintain the vitality of the skin in between visits. The suggested retail price for 10-, 15-, 20- and 30-minute treatments are $40, $60, $80 or $120 (Canadian), respectively. Packages are also available.

"We’ve seen a backlash in recent years to the ‘plastic is fantastic’ trend. Men and women want to remain youthful and vibrant without necessarily resorting to fillers, injectables or surgery," stated Danièle Henkel, president of Daniele Henkel Inc. and "Dragonne" on the reality show "Dans l’Oeil du Dragon."

"People want to keep their skin young and healthy but are not familiar with this technique. Our goal is to expose more people to this enjoyable, non-invasive, anti-aging treatment that offers immediate and measurable results to looking your best at any age," Henkel added. Overall, Uniprix’s retail network encompasses 387 drug stores across Quebec under the banners Uniprix, Uniprix Clinique and Uniprix Santé.
