ALTOONA, Pa. — Former Rite Aid Corp. executive Greg Drew has become president of the regional drug wholesaler Value Drug Co.

Drew, who most recently headed Pharmacy Expertise LLC, the consulting company he founded after leaving Rite Aid earlier this year, will be responsible for Value Drug’s long-term business development as well as all operations and management of the company.

During his tenure at Rite Aid, Drew served as vice president of pharmacy health services and as general manager of the Rite Aid Health Solutions unit.

Started in 1934 as a cooperative by 19 independent pharmacists in central Pennsylvania, Value Drug has maintained the co-op structure and now includes more than 1,200 members in the region.
