BOCA RATON, Fla. — Boca Cosmetics Group’s Zelo Brazilian Keratin hair care line is now being sold through Walgreens.com.

The company said Tuesday that since its successful launch of on Home Shopping Network in 2012, Zelo has grown exponentially. In October, the product line became available via drugstore.com.

"It has been a successful year for Zelo hair care products. We expect our partnership with Walgreens.com will bring Zelo to the next level as we approach 2014," stated Jeremy Lurie, marketing director at Boca Cosmetics Group.

The Zelo includes the Brazilian Keratin Smoothing System and supporting after-care products: salt- & sulfate-free keratin shampoo, Intensive Care Keratin Conditioner and Velvet Hair Gloss.

According to Boca, Zelo — unlike "your average salon keratin treatment" — is 100% formaldehyde-free, delivering salon results at home without harmful fumes or chemicals. The Brazilian Keratin Home Smoothing Kit is also simple to use and more affordable than in-salon keratin treatments, the company noted.

Zelo is formulated to provide curl control while completely eliminating frizz. Boca said the results give the hair a smooth, lustrous look that lasts up to 30 washes. The system works well on all ethnicities and hair types, even chemically treated hair, according to the company. Zelo loosens tight curl patterns without permanently altering the hair structure, allowing the users to return to their curls as they please.

Both the keratin kit and complete line of hair care products feature exotic conditioning ingredients found in the Amazon rainforest, such as: quinoa and Inca oil, coconut oil and organic amino acids.
