Beauty players enlist social media stars to help boost brands

TENI PANOSIAN

A blogger and social media star, with more than 1.1 million YouTube followers, Teni Panosian is a major force in beauty content.

She has 603,000 followers on Instagram (@tenipanosian), where recently she featured Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation and Maybelline lipstick.

MICHELLE PHAN

Michelle Phan is another legend in the influencer landscape — and, in some ways, she was ahead of her time.

In 2013, Phan created a line called Em in conjunction with L’Oréal that was sold online only. But the beauty power and Phan parted ways two years later, and Phan (and Em) went to Ipsy.com, a company she cofounded.

Earlier this year, Phan announced she was reintroducing Em, now available at the Em Cosmetics website.

Phan has 2.1 million Instagram followers (@michellephan), over 3 million who follow her Facebook and over 8 million YouTube subscribers.

In June, she shared her personal story on her social networks, called Why I Left, about her tumultuous path as a beauty entrepreneur and why she disappeared from social media for a span.

SAMANTHA RAVNDAHL

Just selected by Nudestix as a blogger partner, Samantha Ravndahl is an up-and-comer.

She’ll work with Nudestix on activations for feature products and create YouTube Video and Instagram content (Nudestix also selected a cadre of other influencers including Angel Merino, Karen Yeung, Jaleesa Moses, Cyndee Black and Lynette Cenée).

She has 738,000 YouTube subscribers. The Vancouver, British Columbia, native also has 2.4 Instagram followers (@ssssamanthaa).
